Greenwood Cemetery is owned by the City of Jackson which provides basic maintenance. The members and volunteers of Greenwood Cemetery Association work to enhance the cemetery through research, promotion and hands-on projects. Monument repair and landscaping improvements are performed on Work Days which are organized throughout the year. Master Gardeners, Boy Scouts, Americorps, school groups and members of the Old Garden Rose Society join with Association members to restore and rejuvenate the historic grounds.

If you would like to volunteer in the cemetery, do research about the cemetery and its inhabitants, or plan and promote special events, please send an email to and let us know of your interest.
